Pastor Ragland was saved in 1992 at the age of 33. He joined New Hope Baptist Church in 2016 as the music minister, serving under the leadership of then-Pastor Larry Wood. Pastor Ragland helped introduce a mix of contemporary and traditional music, reaching people of all ages and backgrounds. In 2019, Pastor Wood left New Hope Baptist Church to follow a call from the Lord to pastor another local church. At that time, Pastor Ragland felt called to step into the role of pastor. Under his leadership, the church has begun to experience growth once again. Pastor Ragland also continues to serve in a dual role as music minister, blessing the congregation with his angelic vocals each week. He has an insatiable hunger for Firehouse Subs and an unquenchable thirst for Sonic Cokes, but we don’t judge. We are blessed to have Pastor Ragland’s leadership and are excited to see where the Lord will lead the church under his guidance.
